12 LEARNING MOMENTS WITH JESUS -VOL.1
To this you were called, because Christ suffered for you, leaving you an example, that you should follow in his steps. (1 Peter 2:21)
During His earthly ministry, Jesus was known most widely as a teacher than as anything else. Then as He taught and performed miracles, He began to be seen as a prophet. Outside His circle of disciples, He was hardly known as the Saviour. Even today, most non-Christians who acknowledge Him view Him as a great teacher whose teachings, if imbibed, could make the world a better place. World leaders often use Christian festive occasions to commend everyone to Jesus's teaching.
While He was indeed a Teacher - a great One, He was also a prophet, but ultimately the Saviour.
In this series, we will be exploring His ministry as a Teacher. What did he teach and what are the learning for us today? Each study will focus on a particular teaching moment. Learning can be from conventional oral teaching, events about Him, or actions that He performed.
There were far more learning moments with Jesus than we can cover in the twelve studies in this series. This volume should thus be seen as only a sample of the rich learning available to us from the life and teachings of Jesus Christ.
